Ya just can’t make this stuff up.
I wonder where Eat Here & Get Gas idea came from. There seemed to be a lot of them, we had one in Danbury for a few years in the 90’s. The Kids Wit Gas Eat Free is the best though
Do you fella’s in the states still advertise your petrol (sorry, gas) price as $x.xx per gallon, if so, what is your going price for regular unleaded.
Here in Australia we sell by the litre (4.5L/gallon) and the local servo (service station) is selling regular unleaded for about $1.25/litre.
Thats a city price and that can vary during the week, on wednesdays it generally jumps by 10c per litre and slowly creeps down to the lowest price on tuesdays, it’s a crap system and everybody hates the oil companies in Australia.
All the big companies are buying out the little independants and shutting them down and now the food chains (Woolworths and Coles) are buying into the fuel business and artificially putting the prices up, if you shop at either food chain you get discounted petrol at their servos, everybody thinks they are getting cheap fuel but they are only paying the price in the shopping, consumers are like bloody lemmings down here.
It depends on what state your in. Prices can vary from 10 to 40 cents gallon from state to state. Same with diesel. Anywhere from 2.39 a gallon to 2.59 a gallon. It even varies about 10 cents a gallon inside a state. Gas is usually 10-20 cents cheaper than diesel. It depends on how much each state charges in fuel taxes along with the federal taxes. And of course what the gas station thinks it can get away with. Some stations charge more for credit purchases than cash purchases.
These signs really deserve a place on a layout!

I also wonder if the ‘after burner chili’ could be an alternative to track or battery power.
LMAO…
One of our local farmers were selling baby donkeys and had this sign out.
