Forum image changes

Hey folks

I’ve done a significant amount of changes to the way links and images are handled in a forum post. Its now more in line to what other forums do.

If you past an URL of any kind (link, url, etc) it will turn it into a clickable link.

If you want to include an image in your post, you need to click the insert image icon

Hopefully this will alleviate the issues some of you are having with posting pictures.

Hmmmmmmmmm bridge is out, but the quote function works…

I see the PREVIEW button has also moved…

"Gen. J. C. Robinson" and other locomotives of the U.S. Military Railroad

Atlanta, Georgia. Railroad yards

Sorry but I sure as heck don’t see how changing a two step process to a 6 step process is an improvement.

Before I clicked on the freight shed button went to the picture I wanted clicked on it and it was in the post.

Now I click on the insert image icon and it opens a postage stamp size window that has to be stretched out to use. Then open freight shed, find the wanted picture, open it copy and paste the url into the insert image window then click insert to get it to the post. I just don’t see that as an improvement

Am I missing something?

Rick

City Point, Virginia. Railroad yard and transports

Nashville, Tennessee. Railroad depot and Train Station

Bridge on Orange & Alexandria [Virginia] Railroad, as repaired by army engineers under Colonel Herman Haupt

Men repairing single-track railroad after Battle of Stone's River

It appears that this has changed dramatically since it was first enacted.

Now it’s easy to hit the Freight Shed button and click on the file you want and drag it in.

Pretty cool.

Cool. About 24 hours after the change and it’s been improved even more. The freight shed thing is very easy to do now.

Very nice job, Bob.
