Ran my Forney yesterday. I was very pleased with the way it ran on my new layout. Still learning the new TX controler though. Its tough shooting video and controlling. Sorry the transition setting is off on the video. Switches frames to soon grrrrrrrr.
Thanks for posting Shawn! The line looks great and the covered bridge fits right in!
Wow, layout looks better all the time. Thanks for posting.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Great video, beautiful setting. Love it.
Nice video! I see the Forney…the mist, not so much.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)
Shawn, the layout looks great! Amazing what you’ve done in such a short time. Did you move some rocks/plants from the old layout? I did, when I moved out from town about 20 years ago. Nothing better than a cool/humid morning to run live steam!
Looking good. Does that Forney have the stock throttle quadrant? I want to get the insert with the fine point from Jason for my Ruby bash. I’m hoping it helps with smoother starts and stops. THe layout does look like it’s been there much longer than a few months!
Randy,
He’s good, isn’t he? …and fast! See if you can get a pink 'ballcap when you get started again. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Hey Joe, I’ll wear pink overall’s if that will shave a month off the job! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
I Hope I inherit Shawn’s mojo when the time comes. His pikes always look so natural. He knows his plants.
Gee, my pink underwear didn’t help me much.
The layout looks great Shawn. Very good video too. It reminds me of one of Eric Schades nice videos of steam in the Maine woods. Particularly the shots in and out of the covered bridge. Lot of fun.
Tom
Thanks guys. I even suprised myself on how much I got done. Has to be the hat…
Jerry I brought a handfull of spruce trees with me from the old layout and some ground cover. I did buy a lot of new plants. The new layout is in the sun more so im trying out some new stuff like the creeping thyme and cotton easters.
I have been working on some of the stone walkways the last few days and just enjoying the trains on the layout.
Randy I still have to add that finer throttle adjustment. That should help with the smoother start and finish. I still have to tune up the Forney. I still get a lot of blowby when it stopppes on a grade. It gets stuck in one position. Probably the timing.
The hat is available for anyone who needs it

Nah, it looks good on ya…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
I don’t need the hat; I need someone wearing the hat to do some weeding. Ran a set out train this morning and was amazed at how overgrown everything is. I have been lax at weeding this year. Not good (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif)
Yea, them weeds grow like…like…well, they grow fast.
Awesome looking layout and the engine ran beautifully!! Thanks for sharing
