For those of you old enough to remember

Well after watching that, other than the bad part “drugs in the late 60s” Life as we know it now in the 2008 part of our lives 48 years later life pretty much “Sucks and Blows” huh!!! You can take me back anytime now except for the Drug part. Never was never will be a part of that scene.!

Good Lord, I was raised in the 60’s. You go back, not me. I appreciate the memories, but I like them to just be that. I want to live for today and enjoy what I have. Please don’t get me wrong, my Dad and Mom gave me a good upbringing and the strength to create a good life for my family with strong values. I’ve raised two wonderful children, that have now given me grandchildren. But please don’t ask me to do it again. Let me enjoy this wonderful part of the World we live in and the friends I’ve been so fortunate to have.

Right on, Ric…give me today…forget the past, other than anything positive you learned from it…

The 60’s??? uhhhhhh, I don’t remember…

Ah, the 60’s. Lot of memories, graduated grade school in '61, and high school in '65, got my 1st car in summer of '65 (a 1959 Hillman - a big deal to me as my mom didn’t drive) a job on the railroad in '66 and married in '68. Still think that was the best decade as far as music was concerned: California sound, Motown, and the British sound with a lot of other artists thrown in.

To the music of almost any era, I can find a song that causes wonderful reflections of my life. And yes Motown,
California Surf and Car, the British Sound, Ballads, Southern Rock, Caribean Beach, and even tunes of my parents all trace a history of my life. Somebody just said the other day that you know you are getting old when our music is being played in an elevator. That’s okay, I like the tunes.
