Very cool. Now, can you explain the advantages to each mixture for the application?

I know that Antracite burns cleaner, with less smoke, but beyond that I’m clueless.

A thought I feel would have played a part in the mix was cost and efficiency. On the Yard mix you have a small coal box with a heavy workload so they get a burn that will last at a lower cost. On the 100% Bituminous and 100% Anthracite you have a road tender and auto feed, so depending on where you are located one is a local product and the other is an import. JMHO YMMV
