This is my latest bash. Uses Bachmann Porter side tanks and LGB series #2017 wheels, rods and cylinders. Rear of cab has been opened out.
Wow Tim that bash looks really good , that may be the best mod that I have seen on a Stainz , very creative .
Very nice! I have an old stainz and I keep wondering what I could do with it–that is too cool!
Nice, the sidetanks really change the look.
Very cool!
Tim, another Masterpiece.
Pretty neat. I have an old Stainz hanging around…I’m sure many of us do. Maybe we should start a Modding your Stainz contest!
Sidetanks extended using leftover pieces from previous Stainz bash. Steam generator and air tank fitted. Locomotive should have been black (my favourite loco colour), but decided on a colour more appropriate.

Bruce Chandler said:Yes lets do. I picked up a Stainz engine in a trade with a friend of mine. It's from the LGB circus train (got a couple cars from it as well) and would like to do something with it. It runs very well, just not sure I want to keep it "as is"...?
