D&RGW #455 Green boiler and old herald K-27
Original box, optional tender doghouse, Accucraft couplers installed
Wiring simplified to one 6 wire connector between loco and tender
runs on track power or with the flip of a switch Battery & R/C or trail car R/C
Wired for phoenix sound (sound and r/c not included)
Odd colored LEDs removed and replaced with 5v regulator and bulbs
in headlite markers and cablight
Loco runs superb used indoors less than 4 hours and outside 1 hour
It’s a great loco but too big for my set-up.
$490 buyer pays UPS

When you redid the wiring did you remove all the prvious wiring and connectors?

Larry,
Loco is setup to run on track power or battery, and is wired to accept a phoenix sound system,
r/c and sound not included. You can install sound in 10 minutes.

On my K27 I removed all of bachmanns circuit boards and wiring .
I reused their 7 wire connector but only needed 6 wires.
2 wires for loco lites, 2 wires to bring rail power back to tender,
2 wires to bring power from tender back to motor
Rail power wires join together in tender at a double pull
double throw switch. Switch allows you to select between
track power and battery R/C .I was going to use a battery r/c trail car with loco.
All wires are numbered and color coded and I have a wiring diagram
to show were the wires go.
It is far simpler than original Bachmann setup.
Tons of room in tender for r/c & batterys
Odd colored LEDS removed and 5 volt bulbs and regulator
added to markers cab and headlite.fire box flicker is stock b mann.
