The author of this photo says that the water is the Columbia River in BC.

No reason to doubt him, but it looks mighty pawltry to be the mighty Columbia with all of those water plants sticking out of it.

Is this photo take near the headwaters of the Columbia?

The Columbia meanders all over the place in that area.
Check 50º38’08.47"N 116º o5’ 37.97" W you’ll be looking at the rail line and several of the river’s arms.

Well, a river’s gotta start somewhere. Here’s the Arkansas River where it’s starts out between Fremont Pass and Leadville CO. Just a mere trickle here…:wink:

Lower RH corner just over bank of what looks like an old right-o-way.

The river(or stream, in this case) is on the far side of the bank. The bank is some sort of retaining wall for a small pond just to the right. Another view…
