Is this a Bachmann, in Fn3? Does it have the better metal trucks or the plastic ones?
Ron

Yes, 2 truck, Spectrum Fn3…believe it is an early run not sure which trucks will check tomorrow and advise.

thanks
cale

Ron,
If you close the deal, Cale can ship it to me or Chuck and you can pick it up when you are down here.

Ron it has the 6 screw trucks on it. not sure what that means, but read here before it shows which run it is-again I’m gonna assume it’s early due to following story.

Story on locomotive:

I bought it from Bill B here in Upstate SC. I met Bill thru MLS way back when I was getting my feet wet. Bill has since retired from trains and I bought a few of his things, one being the Shay.

Bill told me that whenever ago he sent a 10 Wheeler circus train (think it was the Emmett Kelly) back to Bachmann for repair. I believe he said it was gone for nearly forever. After waiting patiently, he called up and asked about the issues and why it hadn’t been returned. Somewhere in that conversation he was offered a New Shay for his troubles. A few weeks later the Shay arrived followed not too far by the Circus Train.

I bought it from Bill about a year or so ago. I have test run it once or twice.

edit:

John, Thanks for the offer, I was thinking of doing that as shipping to Canada is way to expensive.

Cale, have sent you an e-mail through the website.

Cale all came today everything is great
Mike

good deal! thanks

Shay is Sold Pending Funds.

Cale - Your interest in Ham radio prompted me to turn on my HF rig the other day for the first time in probably 4 or 5 years. I didn’t warm up the finals, but did listen to some DX for a while. Amazing what you can hear on a 20 foot piece of wire strung across the basement ceiling  Somewhat tempted to get back into it.
