Fixing Aristo switches: help!

In one of my posts asking about track plans or layouts or something, one of you guys responded with some tips on eliminating derailing problems with Aristo switches, something I am very familar with.

Could that someone please repost his tips, or do any other LSC-ers have more advice–other than “don’t use Aristo switches” ?

Thanks

Depends on vintage and where they cause derailments.
Frog and guard rail?
Points?

If you have the older ones with spring-loaed points at the throwbar, new solid throwbars usually fixes that part.
Greg has some stuff on his website on those stupid switches, if I recall.

I wrote this page, the previous link was written by Ted Doskaris.

Between the 2 pages you should be able to make them work very well.
