Looks great, just wondering how you made it through final inspection with no hand railing on the stairs?

Hi Vincent,
Well the prototype had no hand rails.
Besides my guys ādonāt cotton to no revenooersā or safety inspectors neither.

I started the build of the Little River Lumber Companyās camp store at āFish Campā using Black and White photos from 1913-1920. So I thought I would post the final shots in Black and White also. I tried to set up the same shots as 100 years ago as homage to those who worked so hard on this logging line. I hope you like the pictures.
For those of you that like modern day digital images here are the original final photos out on the layout in full color.
This has been an inspiring and fun āchallenge.ā Thanks to Mr. Dave Taylor for his organizational skills in making this enjoyable modeling experience happen. Big thanks to Mik also for believing in creative modeling and what can be done on shoestring budgets. Thanks also to you guys for all your words of encouragement. It means a lot.
Godās Peace and rest after a very busy several weeks.

Outstanding Doc!! The black and white images are a nice touch. Thanks.
Nicely done, both pictures and the storeā¦
Very nice and inspiring work Tom!!! Love it! Think I see a winner!
Looks great Doc. I always enjoy your build threads as they come with a little story.
But your track switch isnāt a wye!
Yeah I had to look long and hard to find that āflawā!
Another winner!

Very observant John. Also in 1913 there was no passing siding. By 1920 , in the later photos, there can be seen a passing siding as the number of loads coming down from Fish Camp Prong had increased considerably. I did not model the passing sidingā¦flaw #2.
Maybe I could build a wye and passing siding, some time in the future???

Hey thatās not fair Docā¦in the black and white pictures I couldnāt hardly tell the difference between your model and the real thing! I was halfway through them and thinking what is the point of him posting all these prototype pictures?
Your build fits into its space the best. Stretching a ridiculously long way to find something you could improve, I agree you gotta replace that turnout with a Y track. Geez.

Thank you John. Looks like I better hunt for a used Wye turnout. The B&W photos are a lot of fun when trying to capture a prototype scene.

There are a couple places on the layout where Iād like wyes but never found them.
That building makes a great addition to the layout.
Whatās on sale this week?
