First Train Across Davis Slough - 1 Photo

Hey, whatta you know? It works!

Number 6 heads a short 3 car freight and becomes the first to cross the new bridge with an official train. Now…just get those gusrd rails in, scenic the area, contine the line…sigh!

Drool , drool .
Mike

that looks great Richard i wish it was in my backyard really looks great

Richard …

My condolences for the recent disaster on the P&OC at Davis Slough.

Should you need anyone from the track or B&B department at the Slate Creek, we’re here to help.

Of course things could be worse… I’m not sure which would be more frightening… the ride across the bridge that this train appears to have just taken (anyone else do that double take?), or attempting to make the locomotive fit between the rope railings…

…get them durn guard rails installed you lazy SOB…grin…

Hahaha! At least we know my bridge & trestle work are prototypical! Hmmmm! Wonder how they got theirs so much straighter than mine?

Matthew you are evil! and Fred, no need for guard rails now is there?

Update! Even now the POC’s entire two man B&B gang is “thinking” about repairs on the collapsed portion of the trestle!

“Well Clem, wonder if we should get that guard rail installed now?”

Well, now, not every trestle demands guard rails. Voila! On the WP&Y Route.

Hmmmmmm. Is that white ball a UFO?

I have been trying to work out why such superb workmanship has produced so few comments . I think , Richard , that they are lost for words . Like I was .

Do you suppose that is what took out the trestle? Wonder if it was lasar or GPS guided?

There not little news in good thing like your good bridge. Very nice to look.

The cut wood is best. We not have the wood like that in city where live.

Keep pix coming.

Vioc is about as “Russian” as you are, Richard my son…don’t be led “Up the Volga” so to speak…!!!

You can find him any day of the week playing in a band with his collection of horns; somewhere in Lower Joisey, or out cheering on some kids’ feetball team cheering squad.

Beeeeoooootiful stuff, Richard. We’ll be there to see ya later in the summer.

tac and the family ig - lookingforward to visiting the Crazy Norwegian again.

Gee and I was about to negotiate an interchange agreement with him too to the tune of the Volga Boatman! Oh well!

I should have picked up on the poster’s name right away as I love to play with names myself.

After the way you wolfed down those fish & chips the last time you were here I suspect that the attraction of the POC is secondary to that of the Crazy Norwegian! I’ll tell them to get in an ample stock of “fixin’s” for your visit. Hehe! See you this summer!
