Cheap society..?? Terry, you forget one tiny bit that goes with a cheap society...even cheaper wages..:( When it comes to cost of living...it's always a loosing situation.
No wonder the traders in Cannon Beach look forward to seeing our little green Scoobie coming off the 101.....

Mind you, I’ve never noticed how cheap things were there. Anyway, next time any of you guys are passing through Wheeler, just look out for two old farts sitting on the bench outside the Junk Emporium, mugs of tea in hand, heads rotating slowly to follow you into town and out again…

That’ll be me and Larry, pontificating in our favourite spot.

Bleeve me, Wheeler is where it’s at.

If you live THAT slow.

Best to all

‘Spotted owl - it’s what’s on the menu.’

Bush and that bunch of criminals they call politicians has trashed our economy. The buck is worthless against the pound any more. From recent news I’m expecting a collapse in the stock markets soon. The Fed is trying to shore up the banks now because of credit problems from credit cards and the over inflated housing market that went belly up last year. If they fail they will take Europe and Asia with them.

Here we go again, where’s that picture of those ducks.

Ahhh, Warren don’t mean no harm. That’s just a loop tape playing in his head that he can’t shut off. B’leeve me, I’ve tried! I just let him run on until the batteries run out, then we talk about trains.

For you ventilators who continue to say “All is well. All is well!” read and weep:

CNN News said:
The U.S. Federal Reserve injects $38 billion into the financial system, the largest amount of liquidity since the Sept. 11 attacks, in a bid to avert a major financial crisis. But Wall Street losses continued to mount Friday, following sliding markets in Asia and Europe.
Best hope the Fed can pull off a miricle...though at the moment it's not looking too good!

Now…D U C K…! !

Anybody want to talk about trains?

The biggest problem is China, who has threatened to wreck our economy! Perhaps they are doing it. Count on the price of our toys to go up, if we can get them at all.

While I agree that China (to a point) is wrecking our economy, it’s more blame on greedy big business and the crooked politicians who have sold our soul to the devil for a profit. China didn’t beg us to come over there, we exploited them for their cheap labor and it’s coming around full circle to bite us…and bite us it will. Globalization is one step in the direction of a one world power…and there is more than one government that wants to be that one world power and they are all playing the exploit game. The only way this will ever stop is for the people to take back their government and put an end to the crookedness and greed. Unfortunately I don’t see that happening until the world economy is destroyed and the people have nothing…and nothing to loose. It’s my opinion that it will get so bad world wide that the great depression will look like the “good old days”.
