I am getting excited now, just saw the first rail of 2011 on my railroad. It has been buried under snow since mid November.
The rest of the track is still under about 18 inches but it won’t be long now. Have a full southern exposure.
You will be running trains soon…as soon as we get rid of this little spell of cool weather…been going to -10 C at night lately here. Was warmer in January!
Wow! And I thought we had a lot of snow this winter. At 7,200 feet our snow only stays around a week or two…but then it snows again and we start all over. Old snow turns to ice and really gets hard to do anything with. Maybe by late March for us. In the meantime too many honeydew projects to complete!
