First Prints - Aristo Journal boxes

I’ve had a plan forever to fit roller bearings into my Aristo gondola journal boxes. Got put on hold when the original plan to drill them out got too hard. Now I have the means…

Test print using PETG at 0.2mm layers.

Original on the right for comparison

Bit of fiddling to the bearing hole clearances right for a non destructive press fit, then into production at 0.1mm.

I’m only painting the exposed side – I painted all of the first set but they were sticky in the slide boxes.

30 down, 50 odd more to go… :grinning:

Cheers
N

While you are waiting for the prints you could always get out some paint pens and pick out all the detail that you exposed in that paper towel by painting it black. I feel that the towel deserves to be a moroccan (paper towel) tapestry. Don’t forget the deep reds with sky blue and gold leaf accents! It’s your pallet Neil but the towel deserves it!!

I know …That’s all great rooster but then what do I do with it?

Neil, you give it to the better half and tell her that you made for her so she can put her new shoes on it!

Better still, her birthday’s coming up in a few weeks - it’ll make a great present! Along with a train trip up the coast to top it off of course…

Tks for the tip!
