For a few years now I have always wanted to try making my own figures. After seeing Rays article in GR it gave me the courage. Here is what I came up with. Its a little bigger then I wanted and needs some work in areas. Just have to paint it now.
A nice looking mountain man. I like it.

Shawn,
You need to visit with Bob Temper in the “Alcove” at the ECLSTS in the Spring. He sits there all day making figures and giving out advise. He’s really a teacher and will help you improve your skills. Have you put in for being off on the last weekend of March, yet? Of course, you may just have a sick feeling coming on that weekend. Can you plan a couple of sick days, this far in advance? Its just a rainy Friday and Saturday, unless you want to spend Thursday at the EBT with us.
Looks good Shawn.
Nice! My son Matt sat with Bob Temper for several hours one year and ended up with a pretty good looking figure. One detail that I’ve heard is very difficult are hands. The hand on the leg on your figure looks quite good

Is that a beard or a a bandana? Or I could wait to see what it looks like painted…
