Fr. Fred,
Please tell me you’re jesting, they didn’t really email and call!!??!!

I’ll publish the e-mail and phone numbers I used to yell at him over his drunkenness!
Aye, but I dinna.
I agree with you Fred.
In this country, where drinking is second, only to Aussie Rules football, or any football for that matter, there are always those who want to demonise you for participating in the simple pleasures of life. It seems to me that if it’s “fun” some-one will try to make it illegal.
As you say ‘in moderation’
Dave
At least they kept their opinion private.
I was once publicly chastised on one of the audio forums because they didn’t like my font.
I was using MS Comic Sans. They jumped on me like a pack of wild dogs.
Ralph
Hans; yes…three emails and one Long Distance telephone call…all different people…I will not use names, but two are not contributors to this forum, they just lurk, I guess, and are from “The Other Place”, hence my use of the descriptive noun, “TWITS”.
Fred,
Let me go get a small glass of “Pflaumenwasser” to help the digestion of that! That is incredible!!! TWITS doesn’t start to do justice!
Ralph,
That one is easily explained, you need to have a good laugh first, makes reading that font easier. But that’s where the problem starts, I know the feeling.
So…this is Thursday the 10th of April. We should have heard some more on the B’mann Saga by now…so I was told…I wonder what happened…
Fred Mills said:Yes, since the people who said 'that' didn't say 'that', what did they say?

Patiently waiting.
Hiccup!
Happy RRing,

Fred,
You, sir, know as well as I, that life is made up of those who enjoy it, those that have a self-induced black cloud above their head and those that think they have the right to dictate life to anyone that is within ear shot. I wish a good day to them all and live life the way I want to.
Any beverage that crosses my lips is “purely for medicinal reasons”. It is usually taken to keep me from chocking the life out of some deserving “twit” (your word - mine is harsher). Always wish them a nice day, that really pisses them off.
End of an era…another example… Some sods want the Canadian Government to get rid of pennies…heck; they are like a savings account for me…others want to get rid of nickles and quarters too…
…some other fool wants to replace the lot with a 20 cent coin…go figure. I often wonder why they don’t make use of the 50 cent coin that is still minted but seldom seen. In fact if you try to pass one these days; the average person at a cash register doesn’t know what to do with them.

I have a jar of pennies, pockets get emptied every night to get rid of the “red buggers”. One very good use for pennies … Bruce’s turnout mechanism!
I save them, Hans, and cash them in at these new machines at super markets…just dump 'em in and the machine counts them, and gives you a stub to get cash at the store with. I just cashed in about $60 worth this morning…that should pay for a replacement bottle of good Highland Park 12 year old Whisky.
Boy how a topic can change in 7 pages from Bachmann woes to Scotch and pennies welcome to the world of “Training”.

Jerry,
Nobody ever said that we have very narrowly minded discussions here on LSC.
What were still on topic.
Bachmann makes you upset.
You need a drink when your upset so you get some Scotch.
Scotch cost money so you cash in your pennies.
See were still on topic.
Yes, Geoff; we’re still on topic…the topic was originaly “Finis (Or end) to an era”…many things can come to an end in any era; besides the “Bachmann Saga”.
At least I think you meant “We’re”…
The era of the “Branch Railroadian Fellowship”, carries on…!!!
HUMMMM:
Seems like yesterday that the Shay was first released, got me hooked on LS. Swapped a few trucks, made my own modification for the Climax shaft binding, fixed the truck on my Connie tender, modified the drive shaft on my Berlin work Goose.
Finally got a K and Heisler this week, (Heisler in box for BD). Haven’t run the K but checked the cranks and they are looose. Called Irv, cranks in mail. Read the news, got my cutters sharpened.
As usual, Dave is correct, Kader is twisting Bachmann again and blowing more smoke than their engines.
I WILL keep buying their 1:20 products because they are a reasonable value for the cost, and can be made an excellent product with a little hobby effort. ( I love this hobby).
Got to go, it’s beer time somewhereeere!
Well, its been a long time since I had my first Climax…
