Finis to an era

I’ve found great comfort in confusion so I remain there whenever I know what I’m doing! 8)

I’m having a hitch installed on the front of my automobile, in order to hook a horse on…getting rid of the power steering and power brakes…ordering a 100 bales of hay and 50 bushells of oats…

And you will even get free fert for the yard on top of it all.

Looks a lot like the “Horse next door”, but my old automobile is green…

I expect to equip the horse I use, with diapers, in order to collect his/her/it’s “Exhaust”, for use in the garden. After all this is partly a Large Scale, Garden railroad web site; so we should occasionly mention gardens and their improvement, well into this “New Era”…!!

I see Hans has even re-introduced our young friend Marvin back into life on this page. Great to have him back…!!!

The Equine-pampers might have other benifits:

I guesswith the latest gossip, we can finally speculate that the “LGB Era” is finally over.

It has been dragged along for about two years longer than it deserved…!!!

Well, HJ, bless his dolomitic Swiss heart, has always insisted that LGB is stretchy ...

I’ve started a “New Era”, of not purchasing anything more. A NEW ERA of using and enjoying what I have.

With Spring finally here; it seems to be working out fine…

Sheesh Chris ..... I wonder what happened ..... in some circles they call me a "heartless, joyless" &^%$*& .... which always makes my heart ache - calls for some Hank Williams tunes, if you know what I mean. Dolomitic sounds downright touching by comparison. ;) :)

On that “stretchy” property, well, well, well … it has been mentioned that one can only stretch things so far before they become a bit overstretched (applies to credits) and things become ever more transparent the farther they’re stretched (that can be very interesting for those who didn’t see things so clearly before), then one day - just like an overinflated transparent balloon - things go poof and the show is over.

How’s that for stretching it? (Just wait for the Ventilators!)

I remember years ago when I was staying at the Peabody in Memphis they had all these horse buggies outside taking ppl for rides around town. They all had these little bags hanging under thier tails to catch the poo. Nice clean roads in Mem, did n’t fancy sitting behind one tho, I could smell it across the street in 80º

Ventilators …?
They all left here a while back…Marvin is still looking for LGB parts, and has suddenly "Discovered that USTrains archbars will easily replace the LGB ones…some have known that for years !! A less expensive replacement, is the B’mann truck…but don’t anyone suggest that, as it would ruin their little world !!!
Morganastic Mike is not well, and is not writing anything at, all to anyone…some of us look forward to his recovery…we miss his crusty “Humour”.
I guess there are othe “Ventilators”, but none quite live up to those two, and their contribution to the humourous saga…!!!

Well, unelastically speaking, you could've pointed out that the Dolomites aren't in RhB territory ;) ... though Scuol ain't that far off, as the sober Alpine crow flies, at least according to the Google map ... wasn't there an idea at one time to extend the line east into Tyrol? Could've branched into the Alto Adige / Sudtirol ...

Well you know how it goes with those expansion plans, a little war here, a little war there and bang … bang … bang … the money, inclanation and the interest evaporate.

On that “dolomitic” I looked at it as an adjective regarding the material rather than a geographic attribute. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: Apart from that isn’t granite and gneis harder than dolomite? Soooooo the native Swiss varieties would have been “worse”.

I’m upset, and I’m not going to take it any more. The era that many others and I have enjoyed, is slowly endingbecause of these TWITS and their fast life of stupidity. Special sockets; noise; everything based on change for the sake of change; quality of life deteriorating; driving instead of walking; STOP THE WORLD, I want to get off…

I’m not changing. Let them be stupid, it means nothing in my life and it shouldn’t mean anything in yours.

Fred, if you stop the World, please let me know date and time, because I’ve got a bunch of people I would like to throw off. When you see my list, you may just decide to stay and enjoy a better World with the rest of us.

Fred,

Why be upset? Doesn’t change anything, TWITS will be TWITS and that’s all there’s to it.

We got a pretty cool South wind with rain to go, time to do some Inside Work and listen to the radio. Strictly Non-TWIT stations!

There is one part of the era I won’t miss, and the sooner it’s over and buried the better…the seemingly never-ending “LGB/Marklin” “Death Woes”…the wake was held, and it seems that no-one went home. PLEASE, SOMEONE; BURY IT under a dung heap someplace…

So done.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU

With the start of a “New Era”, we see the start of a new company; AH&C Industries, or it could be Ames Howard, and Company.
