Large Scale Central

Finally some photos of my layout.

Finally got around to posting photos of my layout. In the next week or two I will be double tracking one small section.

Beautiful use of space and working around the obstacles.

Got trains?

John

Nicely integrated into the garden, looking good!

Greg

Thanks. Still have some more photos to post and they have trains in them.

Nice. So do all the fixings for a barbecue arrive via rail?

David, that sounds like a good idea.

A true Garden Railroad. Not a railroad built and then some Garden introduced here and there. Kind of refreshing …

Very nice. I did a similar thing with mine too, I looked at the landscaping my wife had done with the yard and said to her we should have a train running through all of this which she agreed with and a year later we started enjoying having a train running through the landscaping while we are outside.

The cats stole his trains!

Wow! Nice looking railroad.

A bike of that era in restorable condition can be quite valuable depending on the brand, but that one does look a tad too far gone to be rescued.

Found the bike in the back yard of one of the houses I bought a few years ago, thought it would add an interesting departure from the railroad items in the yard.

Turns out I dont have photos of trains on the layout, just videos.

More photos.

More photos. I keep two trains ready to go under the bench on the porch. Just lift the door and couple the engines.

Not sure if this is the right place to post these but some photos of my engines.

See he has to protect his trains from his cats! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

The cats are not problem, it’s the pecocks. I came home a while back and there 13 pecocks in the back yard and on the roof.

Louis, the track looks good. I like the patio area in the curve.

Thanks Ron. I removed the old pool (12’X32’) and installed a smaller round pool (15’). Put in the patio in the are that the old pool was. I’m laying track on the new deck and on the blocks around the patio. This will be track powered so I can run engines that I have not converted to battery power.
