Large Scale Central

Finally a Nice Day

Had some early morning showers but by noon the clouds broke and the sun came out. The crew decided to take the HLW mini stock out on the main line. Logging season will be starting up as soon as the mud dries. The crew also managed to finish the logging spur exention as well as completed the finishing touch on the new bunks. They are hoping to get them out of the shop and in the camp tomorrow. Forcast are calling for a nice day.

Bluets finally flowered.

…grinning…

Nice to see you runnin again.
Ralph

The hell with those bunks, get those logs to mill  time for bunks when the log work is done

Spring has sprung…for a couple of days, at least…

LOL Holleywood the Forest Service wont let them log during mud season. Does too much damage to the environment. This is the time for the guys to build some stuff.

Thanks Shawn, looks nice.

Spring has sprung here, too… Only problem is, it’s all April Showers, not to mention storms…

ground is so wet, I think even the grass is making a depression in the soil…

Shawn, railroad looks great…

We don’t have to worry about Mud Season. We go direct to summer and there’s no silt in our sand!

It’s snowing here in beautiful Deer Park. Big, juicy, wet flakes. There is about 3 inches on the ground, now. Time to get out the plow!

You know Doug some of us could learn to not like you! We are still in the rain and snow time up here 9check out Steve's post) and with my knee going way way south I can't get out to work any way with a need to replace some elevated track work supports.

Can’t remember where I put the plow. Oh, well, the snow will be gone soon. I had to go out into the blizzard four times to clean off the satellite dishes, and my lovely bride went 3 times. This was just in two hours between 0600 and 0800. Look at the size of those flakes! Sometime, I wonder why I left Sandy Eggo.
