A threeway is frog intensive!
I had a cast frog I got from whoknowswhere and thought about makin a mold of it AFTER I built the switch. Looks like a good idea…maybe I’ll take it off the switch and make a mold.
Is the casting plastic? If so, might wear be a problem?
The one I have is resin and I pretty sure that’s what Bart uses…
There are various resins, and resin additives, that can make resin UV proof, weatherproof, and/or ‘harder’. I may have to steal this idea myself.
Well its the same resin use for everything from car ends and sides to truck sideframes, wear MIGHT occur eventually…but since they cost pennies…and I’m gonna use miniature wood screws to hold 'em in place, it will be no big deal to remove and replace it with a new one…
