Fancy water tank

Here’s an interesting pic of a locomotive taking on water from the fanciest tank I’ve ever seen. This was in Queensland, Aus. back in 1890.

Pretty fancy, but I think this one has it beat. Although it probably fed a standpipe, it also has a butt load of privys and a smoke stack to boot. This is at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum in Savannah, GA. Ralph

Very interesting! Never seen one that combined so many different things into one structure before! I wonder if they had any trouble with water from the tank leaking into the smokestack?

Nice mix: American-style loco; British-style water tank. Presumably 42" gauge, as it’s Queensland.
