Large Scale Central

Fall Spokane Train Show

Today was our fall train show and swap meet here in Spokane. There were some nice layouts present but not much else worth the entrance fee. Swap wise for LS’ers was dismal at best. And in reality even in the small scales it wasn’t much better. Attendence seemed to reflect that. It seemed to be only about half what it use to be. But in spite of that, the large scalers had fun. The Inland Empire Live Steamers had a recruitment table and small display. I had my box cab there. And we watched videos of runs at Train Mountain and of our last run day here.

There were 2 HO layouts but I only took pictures of one. It’s particularly noteworthy because it’s owned by 2 guys…not a club.

What makes this layout particularly noteworthy is that the 2 guys are a fireman and a cop. Thus the layout has a number of “emergency” scenes that are quite interesting. Here’s a plane crash.

Since we’re here to see large scale trains, here is my take for the day of the “still under construction” INGRS layout.

I’ve also made a movie of their run for the day. ENJOY It’s not the greatest video as it was again taken with my digital camera not a regular video camera…besides it’s You Tube…:stuck_out_tongue:

Hey Warren,

Great video and pictures of the Spokane Train show. Thanks for showing the clubs layout.
