Was nice yesterday afternoon, sun came out and there was not much wind. I got out my Pacific, that I put a MTH smoke unit in. All went well as I sat on the deck and had a coke. I did just order a battery powered leaf blower. Trees have really grown up over the years!

The garden looks great Jerry , nice job. I like the tender on your pacific . Every spring I have to re-trim all my Alberta spruces . What a pain . What gets me is just as I get the railroad back to “my specs” fall comes along , temperatures drop , and I have to start all over come spring. You have to love this to keep doing it year after year.

Sadly, I think this train running season will be over for me this weekend… With the much cooler weather we have had the past 2-weeks my fish in the koi pond look like they have settled in for the winter at the bottom of the pond.
We will be shutting down the filtration system this weekend and just leaving the air flowing into the pond.
Then I have to decide if I want to take in the bridge going over the pond so I can do some work on it, and get a close up look of how it held up for the first season. If I do that, there will be no trains running until spring… unless I feel like fishing them out of the pond!
