Fall Foto Thread

nice, and green pictures I have nothing but track and dirt if I post, so maybe in a year or 4.

Don’t you just love the fall…

Looks like fall fell, back there in Easton, Mass.

Who’s gonna clean up that mess, that’s what I wanna know.

No! Its wet, and cold, and wet, and it gets dark too early, and its wet.

I have run a little this fall. This was last week, after spending two or three hours with a rake, and before the snow fell

I love the noise it makes going through the covered bridge…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Good catch Ken. Not sure how I forget about the fall picture thread. The fall was very wet and windy here so never got a chance to run too much other than the last week or two, plus busy on the mtn bike. So far everyone has picked up my slack with great photos.

The fall started out mild but very wet. Got a new arrival to the railroad.

Sorry I forgot to use the secure site grrrrr

Then winter arrived in mid to late November. Gave me a chance to test out the plow.

Then it got cold and the guys had to start preparing for winter

Then the forecast called for more snow. The plow was put back in service

makes me want to rip up the mainline and switch to a logging railroad

amazing work!!!

Makes me almost miss snow!

Inspiring work, top to bottom, on you’ve all shared on this thread!

Eric

My 2 cylinder Shay with an Ozark kit log skidder posing on the yard siding in front of a dwarf red maple in full fall glory

Regards

Jerry

I sorta got a nut for a 2cyl shay …it’s on my want list

I like the T boiler, 2 cylinder Shays too. They just look like basic working machines, without any styling to dress them up. But, me being an odd bird, I would really like T boiler, 2 cylinder Yahs.

Love that red maple Jerry!

i guess it is still technically fall though it feels more like winter… I ran a train this morning, a bright crisp morning. there was plenty of frost in the ground, made for some rough going in places…the video could have been longer if I didnt have to edit out so much!

It doesn’t quite get too Fall-like here in Florida, but today was cool enough to feel like it: 60 degrees with a cold north wind. Good day for steam plumes! (Not that I caught any in my photos.)

I took Otto over to Jack’s Calusa Creek railroad, and had fun chasing his railbus.

Another few photos before fall is gone!

From the PLS Turkey Trot steamup, average temp was about 30F that day, we are a tough bunch! My live steam Frank S is the tiny train about to pass the tree from the right

Here is Frank S in full plume, regards, Jerry

Frank looks great as always Jerry! I ran mine quite a bit at the Victorian Christmas aat the WW&F last saturday.

Thanks Eric. I was pleased with how well it ran in the coldest temps I have ever run in.

Jerry

Yah i accidentally turned off the tender heater and had a good amount of ice in the water bath around the fuel tank!
