Extra charges!

I saw an ad for the new Spekrum DX6. So being of a curious nature I checked the listing from Wholesaletrains who had put the ad in “Steam in the Garden” magazine. They listed a discount in the magazine if you used SITG 86 when you order… That’s okay… So still of curious mind, I went to their website and filled in the info clear down to where the payment showed up. Nothing about or where to put the discount ? So the story is getting there ! I called Wholesaletrains and they at first didn’t know what the discount was but was back to me shortly and said it was 10%… Well how do you enter that in the online ordering when there is no where to put it ? Getting near the end of the story !! They said I could order it on the phone I quess but the gal then said there is a $2.00 handling charge which they put on all orders… OKAY …They don’t put that on their website either as I surely did not see that…

So if you order anything online be aware of hidden costs and if you are on the phone, ask about everything that you can think of or take your chances.

But then you all knew this right?

Care to talk about the weather? What’s new, rain, cloudy and damp but it sure is green everywhere…

Now heading to the cooler and pop a top. Bheer is for my good mental health.

Darryl ,
I think the answer is , if there’s a nickel to be made , someone will find a way of making it . Tell them the handling charge better show on the order and it may disappear .
Enjoy your drink . Mike m

Unfortunately, I bought an item from wholesaletrains.com. It ended up being a terrible experience and I’ll never do business with them again. They are dishonest.

Easy folks… lets not get out of hand with name calling…

I’ve bought many items from WT, and each experience was just fine. As far as I am concerned, they are fine folk. Time is money. $2.00 to make sure that you get to talk to a real human is reasonable, I think. I intend to do business with them again, just as soon as SWMBO says I can.

jay, which train shop do you work for?
