I’m quite fond of the D&RGW flangers, since I researched and modelled a slightly earlier version for the V&T. And I love the rotary plow photos, just because it’s such a beast with a big terrifying mouth.

A few years ago I was at the WP RR museum and was allowed to climb into the rotary there. Where the boiler was, a relatively small diesel engine provides the motive power. So thanks for those shots of the more original boiler room. That boiler sure fills that otherwise enormous space which, when I visited, was relatively empty.
