Glad to hear that John! Once again your trestle work looks great from the “foundation” up! That trestle would last 1 day in my yard!

Nice work, looks like it’s all progressing well…

Nice work love the trestles

Update: I decided to make my “yard-steamup bench” look like a trestle. It’s now in place and the exasperating’ job of leveling it has begun.

Quite a project, looking good!

Now, that’s a job… good luck…

Wow - That deserves a CVSRy Excellence in Over-Engineering Award

looks complicated John. But coming along nicely.

It’s heavy, too. I managed to avoid lifting it last Saturday.

Wow,
My deck doesn’t have that much lumber in it.
Nice job.

Yeh, those "pit stops" are a good excuse. :) :)

A couple years ago, 3985 Challenger roared thru Caldwell, Id. Fred and Janice went in town to watch it go by. Janice had to make a pit stop. They missed it.
I think they are finally back to speaking to each other.

I think the bench is leveled enough to stop a car from rolling out onto the main, now.
What a job!

Great Idea on the Steam Up Bench. Sure looks good, thanks for sharing.

My house doesn’t have that much lumber! Is the Army going to use it to repair tanks on? How many trees must die to put a 3 lb train on?Must need to make it strong for all the batteries he uses.

“How many trees must die to put a 3 lb train on?”

As many as are needed and a couple more just for spares.

This is trains, no sacrafice is too great…

now, lets hurry… chop!!! chop!!!

Poss, It ain't my fault you hired a chintzy contractor. :) :)

I ain’t done yet. Now killed some ancient cedars for the decking, and misplaced some spotted owls while doing it.

Don’t worry about the spotty owls. They moved in behind the K-Mart sign.

Finally finished the steam up-yard-loading-deck. I used new LGB/Maerklin 1800 switches and old well used LGB track. The bench slopes down away from the switches a little so nothing will roll out and foul the switches or mainline.

Right nice upgrade John. I like the way the trestle and table blend together.

John,
That looks great!!!
Is that brocolli in the 1st picture?
