And I just saw something .
Some chaps in the States rebuilding a WW2 Hellcat M18 Tank Destroyer , got the serial numbers off it under the muck and rust , did a load of research and found that the chap who commanded it in WW2 lived not too far down the road .
This proud old guy was reunited with his Tank Destroyer , 61 years after he left it in Germany , at a party for Veterans . He rode it round like a good 'un .
Damn nice story . Damn fine old guy .
Weird! M-18 Tank Destroyers keep popping up on me lately…wonder if some one is trying to tell me something?
