Evergreen Styrene Suppliers?

Any one have a good online source for ordering Evergreen Styrene? I’m now living in a town (Bozeman, MT) that has a local hobby store, but he doesn’t stock any styrene or any scratch building supplies. I haven’t asked if he will special order styrene for me, but if he does I’m assuming he would also charge me for shipping.
So therefore I’m turning to the wonderful word of ordering online and paying shipping. I hate to pay $8 for shipping for a $3 bundle of styrene!!!

Any suggestions?
Craig

Call them directly and tell them you have no good source and they’ll ship it to you. I didn’t find their shipping to be too outrageous.

I didn’t know you could order direct from them. I will have to make a list and give them call!
Thanks,
Craig

Plastruct here in Socal ships. Go to their site and they have a pdf catalog with pictures and a pdf for pricing. Depends what you are looking for.

Craig,

I use Internet Trains for Evegreen and much more scratchbuilding supplies.
I’ve always been happy with them.

I like Hobbylinc - http://www.hobbylinc.com/index.htm Everything is discounted and usually pretty quick. Of course I usually try to order a bunch of stuff I think I might need later.

Thanks for the ideas. I’m so use to just to going 10-15 minutes to get what I need. I guess I need to sit down and figure out what exactly I need for my current project and order it all at once. Doesn’t always seem that you need the 1 size of strip styrene that you don’t have?!

Craig

I order directly from Evergreen all the time. They are nice folks.

Did you try Rocky Mountain Hobbiez out on Jackrabbit road? They bought out the old Hobbytown store, and had at least some styrene left last time I checked.

Caboose Hobbies in CO carries the complete line, including a lot of the larger sheets and rods that most other dealers don’t have.

Craig, I found I always needed a size I didn’t have…so every time I went to the LHS (an hour or more away) I would buy extra sizes than just what I needed…until I had a complete selection (you’de go broke buying it all at once). Now I just make a list of what I’m running low on and restock before I run out. Here’s my styrene wall in the basement.

I didn’t know they existed? The only place I saw in the yellow pages was Mr. Choo Choo’s here in Bozeman. When I went into the store I asked him if he stocked any scratch building supplies, with which he replied no, and gave me a funny look.
Do you have Rocky MT Hobbiez address by chance?

Brian, That’s an impressive rack of styrene. A while back a hobby store closed in the Bremerton, Wa area and I wanted to buy their styrene racks, but someone else had a jump on me. I need to figure out a easy way to organize and list everything I have. Craig

Craig,

120 Pollywog Lane, Belgrade. They have a website: http://www.rockymountainhobbiez.com/

Just east of Jackrabbit, a bit south of Belgrade. I think you turn at the (now defunct) crematorium. Look for their sign.
I’d call ahead and see if they have any styrene left. They’re big on RC cars and helicopters, not so much on trains or static models.

I used Walthers when I lived in Germany and ordered mostly strip wood. Never had a problem!

So what time do you go too bed Brian ???

I stock a good bit myself…about the same way.

Dave, Very funny…thanks for the laugh
