I dont think it has to do with not being civil. I think the bigger concern is we have been getting more post that are not train related. It does not personaly bother me I just ignore what does not interest me. Some of the post could probably be put into the off topic rather then general discussion. Even though General disscusion is anything that does not fit into another catagory but still train related. I would guess thats the issue.

I have been hitting the general forum and just IMMEDIATELY clicking the “mark as read”… it’s becoming worthless.

Maybe just rename the forum from General to Off Topic, and add in a feature to allow the entire forum to be hidden from display… maybe everything of any importance can be mapped into one of the other available forums. No, I’m not joking.

I cannot, by any stretch of the imagination, see how you could even ask this when the owner of the forum says stop it, and this isn’t the first time.

I will say that my comments have been made in support of the owner’s position. Does he need my support? Probably not, and I hope that my support has not further upset him by dragging the topic out.

Funny how things happen…Bob says, “ENOUGH”, and we get another two pages of what some people consider to be “Enough”…oh well, it makes for very uncomplicated bedside reading, and doesn’t appear to offend anyone, even me…!!
