Large Scale Central

Embedding YouTube and Vimeo

Has the feature to embed been dropped/ suspended?

I added the links and now the “preview” is on the frizz. ???

I changed the setting in Vimeo i.e. largescalecentral.com is listed for embedding, before I even tried. ???

HJ - Vimeo works with my videos… That Vimeo screen looks like the link is bad. On Vimeo, go to your video and click on the Share button. Grab the URL and post it her between Vimeo tags just like you did above. Only problem I’ve had is if the URL you grab happens to be https - LSC doesn’t understand the S.

EDIT I went to Vimeo and the link/video is fine. When I click on Share I noticed this warning…

The owner of this video has set domain restrictions and you will not be able to embed it on all websites. Please contact the owner if you would like permission to embed this video.

Try temporarily removing the restrictions.

Hi Jon,

I did remove the restrictions in Vimeo for LSC, but it doesn’t seem to recognize that. I’ll gtive it another try. Thanks!

I’m suggesting removing all restrictions just long enough to test.

I don’t %^$#& believe it. OK next step; set the restrictions. Still works! so it’s that “www” crap that causes all the grieve? And before it wouldn’t work unless the s was omiited from https and the www was added.

Of course this is all on Vimeo’s end, nothing to do with LSC. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

You’re on your way now!

Yeah, I’ve only been on Vimeo for five years and in that time they screwed up things at least five times by adding this, dropping that, changing something that worked perfectly etc. etc.

It’s that old maxim … If it works very well don’t change it and don’t “fix” it!
