I received my new Accucraft electric ‘Lew’ today.
Wallace and Gromit took it for a quick test drive and photo shoot.

Very nice looking unit!
Is she a good runner?
Terrific cab details. Best of luck with it.
Looks good. How was coal transferred from the saddle boxes to the fire box?
Steve, I would imagine the the coal bunkers are accessible from inside the cab and coal put it in with a shovel.
The locomotive is 1:19 or what is called 16mm to the foot scale (1:19.05). Although the scale is usually for 2ft gauge prototypes intended to run on 32mm gauge track (SM32) the models are often re-gaugable to 45mm. It came with optional 32mm pilot wheels and 4 arch covers which fill the wheel arches for running on 32mm track with broad curves. You shouldn’t be able to see the top third of the pilot wheels. They should be hidden behind the frames.
This 2nd version of Lew made by Accucraft has more of a ‘satin’ black chassis and smokebox but the roof is still gloss.
The top of the tanks on Lew are supposed to be black. Not sure why Accucraft made them green.

That’s a nice looking loco!
Here are some more shots along with Bachmann ‘Lyn’ just for the heck of it.
The Bachmann ‘Lyn’ model is scaled around 1:22.5 but with a more oversized cab as far as I can gather.
The Accucraft ‘Lew’ is noticeably larger at 1:19 but they still look good together.

V. nice!
A ‘Joy’ to watch in ‘motion’.
I got two railway puns in there, BTW.

And now it’s time for some cheese, eh, Grommit?
That is one very cool looking locomotive. I like the interior detailing as well as those figures inside.
