Editing and deleting photos/resizing help on this site

Does anyone know how to edit or delete photos on this site. I can’t find info. on this anywhere. I have to delete one photo out of the gallery and edit and add text to the other. The other problem is the size is to big when viewed and I am unsure how to resize photos or if I even need to on my computer. I know these are complicated questions but my computer comes up with pop3 error messages when I try to e mail the site admin. Can anyone help with any of this. Ken ISKoT011

Are you running pc or mac? I run mac and normally you can just click the box on the left side and hit delete at the bottom of the file.

As for resizing I do mine on my own mac when I’m cropping and editing the photo. There are several good, free programs for the mac. In fact you may even have one that came with your camera that will work fine.

You re-size them on your own computer using a photo editing program like Paint, Photoshop, etc.
600-700 pixels at the widest makes a nice size picture for this site.
I’ve learned that your pic name should be one word, no spaces, hyphens, commas, etc.
A space won’t allow you to delete the photo.

I use a program that is free and will do BOTH “size” tasks, Irfanview… just google that name…

there are 2 sizes: the physical “dimensions” in pixels, like 800 x 600, like the “dimensions” of your computer monitor, and the size in storage space, bytes.

You can control both of these sizes DIRECTLY with Irfanview (and other programs)…

Many “easy to use” programs do one or the other, or “hide” what is really going on.

Normally, anything much over 800 x 600 pixels in physical size is too big for most forums… in terms of storage size, each forum has it’s limitations, and I don’t remember the limitations here…

The “resizing” in the physical dimension of pixels is usually relatively straightforward.

The “resizing” in terms of storage space is usually done on JPG files, and it’s often called “compression” or “quality”…
