There are 5 weeks, 2 days, 14 hours, 15 minutes and 13 seconds until York.
Holy Bat Poop !
It was almost 50 here today. Spring is right around the corner, but winter looms again this weekend.
JR
Jon,
Enjoy the winter that’s left. It will give you a chance to catch up on those important railroad projects, indoors. Next thing you know, we have to go to York and then Fred’s. You know, sometimes the pressure is just too much.
With only a couple weeks left, I’m starting to get my shopping list in order. Anyone know if there is going to be a dealer selling AMS track? I could use several boxes of it, and Im hoping to get a deal!
this is my frist trip to York please let me know where to meet you guys and is the shopping good at the show. my wife wants to know if other wives will go off shopping while we hang at the show
I always check out the scratch-and-dent sale. Sometimes you can get a deal on things with minimal repairs needed. Or if youre looking for driveline parts, or whatever.
I’ll be around, probably over with Ric Golding at the Timesaver/Inglenook modules. I’m not planning on any side-trips this year, so Ill be at the show most of the day.
Bob, Ric;
See if you can get a peek at the RODENT Colony, if they visit with Mauro…
John,
My wife, Jan, is a big time supporter of our hobby, but she usually gets some shopping in. Jane Clarke and Jan already have some excursions planned. Currently, meaning subject to change, the “Timesaver” is scheduled to be set up in the alcove between the snack bar and the bathrooms on the far left end of the building, as you walk in from the main entrance to the show. For awhile, it looked like we were to be set up near Yogi (he’ll be on the right as you come in the same door), but space caused us to go back in to our normal location. There are usually chairs in the area and space allows the location to give you some time to relax. Keith, Scott and Dave are usually not far away with their layouts, so its a friendly location. All are welcome.
I used to live near York, If you like Chinese…eat here. Clean and friendly.

Just off of Rt 30
I live in a resort town and you would think we’d have a good one here. still looking…
Hold on… There are other places to eat in York, besides ““The Diner””??? Say it isn’t so…
It isn’t so.
Our kind aren’t allowed in those so-called other places.
JR
The “Round the Clock Diner’s” price has really gone up lately, we used to stop after gigs and watch the drunks roll in. $13 for a hot roast beef/gravy on the fries was good, but bites into playing money to much.
“The Diner” is one of the true experiences of the annual pilgrimage to York. Certainly a great variety of food.
Ack. Work has piled up for next week and I’ve had to cancel the York trip. Hope to see a bunch of y’all at the Invasion!
Bruce,
Sounds like a blatant attemp to get out of answering John Reilly’s questions
Hehe…I’ve been found out, eh?
Sorry to hear you can’t make it to York this year Bruce What I will do is send you my notebook with the 400 questions and you can do a few every day when you have extra time. Please just email me the answers in numerical order thanks alot John
No problem, John…

- Why wouldn’t it?
Wow, I instantly thought of "the great Carnac " of Johny Carson fame. Bruce, I too wanted to meet you at York. I suppose the show must go on.
Ric Golding; the equally famous “RailRodder” will be there tending the flock.
Give Bruce a holiday.....he has earned it........not quite sure how, but he can add that to the list of questions looking for answers. !!!1
The show will go on.......even without Bart, Gary, Bruce or any number of other important people.
Ken will be wandering around too, I'm sure. So with Ken and Ric, you will soon get introduced to a band of merry LSC chatters and forum writers. And then there is our host, young Bobby.
Bobby usually finds Ric and Ken, then the three of them plan fine entertainment for the evening. Jan, Ric's fine partner/wife/ and all around best friend, is known to supply some of the best of "Horse Dervers" you will ever find, for any get-togethers that might happen.
