Which diner??

Sounds like a plan. But I guess this isn’t gonna be a sleep-in weekend morning tomorrow, haha!

If it works out, this might become the “Drag and Bacon.” Different thing being dragged though. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Word has it that the show is cancelled due to the MD state of emergency. No more than 250 people at an event.

Cliff I posted their web site first on this post. It is across the street from the fair grounds and about two blocks south of the York Rd entrance. The web site has directions It’s The Nautilus Diner

Right off the show site :

We have received many calls and emails about the status of the show regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus). The 2020 East Coast Large Scale Train Show will continue as planned. While attending the show, we encourage all attendees to wash their hands throughout the day as you would when attending any large event. We are very excited for the ECLSTS this Friday and Saturday! Let us know if you have any questions.

THE SHOW IS CANCELLED.

Joe, can you be more definitive?

Per ECLSTS web site just now,

“We have received many calls and emails about the status of the show regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus). The 2020 East Coast Large Scale Train Show will continue as planned. And I can’t find anything related to the 250 max gathering you mention.

CITE YOUR SOURCE PLEASE.

Hell meet us at the diner Loll that way you won’t waste the trip. I’ll be the one in the encapsulated suit. I think it’s blue but I don’t remember

Last post on their facebook site is 2 hours ago and they say they are going ahead, and the web site says so too…

Where is “word has it”? (Not doubting you Joe, just wondering where that info is)

Watch out the sky is falling friends

I’m at the fairgrounds now. One of the employees came aroud saying that due to the state of emergency, no more than 250 could be at an event. There is a possibility that 250 people could be allowed in, but Star Hobby is waiting for a call from the state.

Somebody down there is “Flushing twice” in case New York needs water…!!!

Thanks David, that’s some hard evidence.

Too late to cancel my hotel though, so I’m going anyway. I’ll post pics of the barbed wire around the MD state fair grounds… or at least the signs stating things like, “For your safety, we now need to shoot you.”

Sorry, that’s in bad taste…

I’ll be at the diner in the AM Cliff and anyone else. At the least you can start the day on a full stomach(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

I was just speaking with one of the exhibitors, and the word is that we will know for sure by 9 am Friday. So, we won’t know till the last minute.

Oh well, it was a nice drive out this way either way. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)

Greg has it right. Facebook it is…

For those of us that take pictures, it’s pretty easy to take pictures with your phone and Facebook is about the easiest way to post those; it really is easy. For those of us that still like to use a camera(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif), it’s rather difficult to post pictures until you’re back at home with your computer. Then, it’s a multi-step procedure…and a memory test for what you were thinking when you took THAT picture -and WHO are THOSE people???

So says the man that is taking pictures with his phone? I still use the camera myself.

Believe me, our club’s display (which is on the ground, not modular) was mostly completed by the time the Fairgrounds employee informed us that the show was a no-go. It seriously sucks… but it’s probably a good call in the end.

I guarantee that there are many more cases out there than are actually known right now.

The tests take time to get results, and the virus is extremely contagious, more so than cold or flu. It lasts in the air for 3 hours after an infected person breathes and for several days on hard surfaces.

The most concerning thing about the virus is that it is very good at sticking to human skin. The virus can stick to people that aren’t even sick with it, leading many people to be “carriers” and causing community spread.
