Large Scale Central

ECLSTS 2016

Would like to meet you Stan!

Stan is one more I have to catch with the camera and dry erase board.

For those of you that don’t know, I approach perfect strangers, ask them to print their name and hold it in front of them while I take their picture! I have not yet gotten arrested.

Ah ha! My new job will have me in York for training, so I will be at the drag and brag and the show, at least for saturday. And since I will be driving the company van, I won’t have to pay for gas to drive out and back home. I love it when a plan comes together.

I have to be in Annapolis the week after, so I’ll stop at York on the way down… Looking forward to it. I’ll try to get there Thursday evening.

As usual, I head out early Thursday morning, getting to York mid-afternoon. Hang out in the lobby to see who shows up (and wait for the bar to open). Looking forward to this year. I have a crapload of stuff Im bringing to sell cheap, too.

Bar’s open all day in York (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

You have a load of crap to sell cheap?

Well, OK then.

Edit for my fone’s spell chequer

Or you could head on over to the Hall. Some of us will be there helping Ric set up his Timesaver layout, or maybe me and Andy will be touring Gettysburg, then head there when they’re done…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

What is not sold by Friday afternoon, I’ll bring to the hotel Friday Evening.

I’ll be there around noon Thursday, wandering around to see how I can help or break stuff or something, and otherwise do what Bob recommends, wait for the bar to open. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Probably tons of room in the van for acquisitions, right David?

Cliff, well, yea. But I don’t “need” anything. I do want the Pennsylvania show car, but I won’t be there early on Friday to get one. So I will have to see what I can work out.

David, you already owe me for one car, so I could pick up one for you and you could owe me more.

Lou, I will be at the drag and brag Friday night, and I will be stopping by the alcove late Friday and saturday. So if you could do me that favor, we can connect either at the D&B or the alcove and we can settle up. I don’t care what road number, I just would like to have one of them Pennsylvania cars.

Thanks.

Check. Will have them and a truckload at the Alcove.

Time to start staging & packing items to bring. I’ve already laid in a supply of local craft beers for the D&B but need to make sure there is enough block ice in the freezer to hold a cooler for 3 days. Thinking of bringing Porter #3 to run on the new Timesaver and of course the Wall Passenger Shelter. I’ll have a few items to sell but I probably will not bring any plastic this year unless I get specific requests. I have been trying to resist the urge to bring it home (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

I pllan on arriving early Thursday afternoon. Guess I’ll check out the hotel lobby before heading over to help set up in the Alcove. And speaking of “the Alcove” I almost forgot to post my annual map to help new folks find us old farts…

Looking forward to spending time with old friends and making some new ones. C U There!

Ditto. I’m glad I have a truck because I have a giant pile of junk, er, goodies to get rid of. And, of course, I always come back with stuff, too.

As long as the stuff we come back with better suits our needs than the stuff we dumped we are making progress, right?

That’s what I tell Martha. “I know the truck is still full, but it’s DIFFERENT stuff!”
