That ain’t no lady…that’s Martha’s husband, Bob…you want a date, Marty…!!!..?
Another ECLSTS under our belts till next year. Hope everyone has a safe trip home.
And also let me mention, John LeForrestier’s Vat car won First Prize, I believe
Rooster’s OCS car won a second prize, and his Utility won a first. And Dave Hills steam powered combine car won a prize, but I;m not sure which one.
The LSC crew kicks butt again!

And I believe you can add Lou Luczu? on the spelling, who took a second place in the diorama category

Edit, note to self …don’t ask Jon to take a pic of you with your own camera as he will repay you for what you have taken of him in the past !
Just got home. Had a great time running live steam, talking with the LSC crew, hanging at my clubs layout and the D&B. Rooster even gave me his scratch built steamer Today we did Stasburg RR, hit the choo choo barn and then of course Cabelas on the way home.
I only bought 2 things, some scratch built log bunks and a isobutan filler. My wife enjoyed the three days so much that she wants to do it again next year and maybe stay through Sunday.
It was a pleasure to meet everyone. Sorry no pictures, too much to do.
Shawn…I won’t tell the guys about your Hello Kitty collection…Hollywood said one of the guys in your club got video of Utility on your layout …would like to see it if you can find out who? Does Nico own a PRR E-8 as well?
Good time all round !

Lol I was waiting for that picture to show up.
Ill have to fine out who has that video. I think it was one of the guys from Michigan that was running on our layout. Ill find out. I think Nico was looking for Brian to buy the E-8 but I dont think he ever got it, Brian left before Nico got to the D&B.
Dont forget to ship that steam train.
Don’t worry Shawn they got together on the E-8
Yes, I am a proud pappa of an PRR E8, thanks to everyone who helped me find Brian. I can’t wat to get it out on the railway once I can see it. It was great meeting everyone and I can’ t wait of next year. Thanks to Brian for the great deal.
Nico
Just catching up on my emails, then down to the basement to sort out my loot. Got the Pennsy GP-9 from Brian, a station kit at Colorado Models, One boxcar from my want list, and one of the Aristo Hobby Manufacturers boxcars with steel wheels that will be relettered. Being as Andy was curious about the “Air Eraser” from Harbor Freight Tools, I will do a build to show the "erasing’, any touch up painting, and the lettering. I found out how much you guys like pictures.
I have a few pictures at the D&B (which my wife renamed “The Sittin Bull”) that I will post, but those of you that were there know how much trouble I have looking at the pictures in my new camera.
It was a pleasure to meet and re-meet everybody. Especially some clown from Canada.
Yes, I got 2nd place in Dioramas for “Happy Harold’s Hobo Haven”. This was a nice new contest where gift certificates were given out instead of ribbons!
Did Rooster win “Best Of Show”?

No, but he cleaned up pretty good… a First and Second place…
Hi guys - What a great time! We had to leave early Sat AM, so I left the vatcar behind and haven’t heard anything more about it, except that rumor from Ken above… That’s gratifying & we’ll see. Meanwhile the car is going back to Illinois under the Goldings’ protective wings until the Invasion in July.
Oops - I just realized that means I won’t be able to send it to Cinci in June after all… oh well, never mind…
It was great to meet so many great people this weekend; the best part of these events; that’s what I went for. Shame Fred couldn’t make it… I would like to have met Mik; hope he’ll be there next year.
I didn’t buy a thing; I need to offload stuff, not purchase! We five Canucks came home very happy from all the fun we had with you LSC crowd…
Congrats to Rooster and Lou and Dave on their wins.
Really looking forward to seeing everybody at the Invasion and again next year.
I have some pix - of Lou, Shawn, Ric, but I haven’t figured how to post them since the website upgrade. Spent enuff time on it just now & maybe will try again later, but I’m running out of ideas, sorry…
Was great seeing everybody again and meeting other people whose posts I’ve been enjoying on this site.
Congratulations to all the winners, we have some phenomenal craftsmen among us.
Had a great time, bought some nice items, sold a few. Can’t wait till next year !
Pat
PS Hey Shawn, I still say that Gennie would look great on your layout. Lol.
Got back from ECLSTS about 9pm Saturday evening. A great show. Met more people I hadn’t met before, renewed old friendships, grabbed two new advertisers for the site, bought some stuff, sold some stuff, hog-traded some stuff.
The Drag-n-Brag on Friday was a huge success. At a couple of points I counted at least 45 people in the room. A few of us had stuff we were selling, or giving away. I got rid of everything except a boxcar kit and passenger car kit. Many people said “What a great idea, Ill have to bring stuff next year”, so I think next year it will be the “Drag-n-Brag-n-Buy-n-Sell”.
Bought a few things at the show. The LSC crew had a great showing in the modeling contest.
Yep, a great show.
