Anyone here going to Yoke PA this march 24 & 25, would like to meet some of you if so
Most of us eventually meet up in what we call the alcove. It’s on the south side of the room with all the layouts and it’s where Ric G sets up his Timesaver layout. It’s also next to the New Hampshire guys modular layout. There is usually a banner hung on the wall with Large Scale Central on it. You can also look for a grumpy looking guy with a Bluestone Southern hat. You’ll be greeted by him with “What do you want?” Don’t mind him. His bark is a lot worse than his bite. Jane keeps him on a short leash.
As you enter the layout room it’s all the way down on the left.
When we aren’t out roaming around the show that’s where you can find most of us. Hope to see you there!..(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Don’t forget the LSC “Drag & Brag” on Friday Night at the show hotel…a good reason to stay at that hotel, and not have to drive.
That’s where “EVERYONE” gets to meet each other, and show off their latest “Stuff”.
Start out by meeting in “The Alcove” at the show, and get time and directions there. Jan and Ric Golding, rent the room at the hotel, so please, when you attend’ bring whatever refreshments you care for, and make a donation towards the cost of the room. Thanks in advance, and have fun.
There is also, the “EARLY ARRIVERS” party at the same hotel, in the Bar, where a good group usually gather on Thursday afternoon/evening.
(It’s the old Holiday Inn on Louckes Road…the closest hotel to the show. They have special rates for the show, but you have to ask for them, mentioning “THE EAST COAST LARGE SCALE TRAIN SHOW”)
We could not get a room at the show hotel they were fully booked like many others we tried, we finally booked a room at the Home2 Suites by Hilton located on Pauline Drive, next year we"ll book earlier. I’ll be looking for you at the show, this is my first Spring show, as work has always kept me home in the past so I’m looking forward to it. See you there.

Join Dave Bodnar and explore how easy it can be to use microcontrollers and other simple electronic devices to enhance your railroad. We’ll look at circuits you can build with the PICAXE and Arduino families of microcontrollers and how a laser cutter can be an excellent and exciting addition to your workshop.
We’ll also explore a new homemade smoke generator that really puts out and create some thunder & lighting!
Don’t miss all of this and the usual array of tips, tricks, tools and gizmos & gadgets that can animate and add excitement to your railroad.
Our plans are to be there with the Timesaver in the “Alcove” of the layout hall. I’m having a little trouble staying in contact with the organizers this year.
Does anyone have contact info for the show organizers with Harry out of the picture?
Someone mentioned that Star Hobbies was taking over.
Star Hobby. (410) 349-4290 (410) 349-4291. FAX: 410-349-4292 1564 Whitehall Road Annapolis, MD 21409.
Have you contacted Star Hobbies? They took over the show
Ken beat me to it!
I never realized that Star Hobbies was right off Rt 50. in the Bay 50 shopping center. Go right past that place when I’m heading down to Bruce’s. Hmmmmmmmm…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Yep off route 50 about 1 1/2 miles from the bay bridge, but you can’t turn in from route 50 last time I was there(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Looking at the ECLSTS website, I don’t see a show car for 2017. So, I guess there isn’t one this year. Or is there?
Yeah, Hollywood, we got within sight of the place and had to call and ask “OK, how do I get there from here?”
Maynard, according to the ad in GR, last year’s Georgia Winery boxcar will be sold, and there is a TBA car behind the curtain. Maybe call Star Hobby and ask, I will.
Star Hobby is on the south side of Rt 50. Heading east, get off at Whitehall road, where for some reason you can not make a right, so go straight, turn around and then go left to the shopping center immediately to your left.
Coming west bound off the Bay Bridge, take first exit Oceanic Drive, cross back over rt 50 and make a right on Skidmore, that will lead you to the shopping center where Star is located. A bit convoluted do to the divided highway and close proximity to the approaches to the Bay Bridge.
I am very glad Star took over the show, may they keep it up for a long time
And I will be at ECLSTS as well, in the hotel for Thursday and Friday get togethers
Regards
Jerry
2/15/17 - confirmed with Start Hobbies, yesterday, that everything this year will be very close to last year. All locations of layouts and most of the dealer hall will be the same.
