Ebay help!

URGENT!!

E-Bay help required – please help me!!

Does anyone know how to cancel a bid on E-Bay???

I put in a bid for a “Mickey Mouse Outfit”, and now it seems I am only six minutes away from owning the LGB company!!!

M - I - C C = See it real soon.

K - E - Y Y = Because you bid on it.

M - O - U - S - E

Sorry, couldn’t help myself. I know, maybe you can sell it on Ebay.

I shouldn’t have done that, I’m sure sorry. This is really going to hurt. I hope you got it at a good price.

I know the feeling, bid on a cowboy outfit once and ended up with the local Toyota dealership…ergh! I did leave negative feedback, but could not return as eBay stated that the item matched the description.

Ah, yes. Before bidding, consider, “What would I do with it if I win?”

Congratulations on your purchase!

Hey Phil.

You getting a bit kinky in your dotage.

“Mickey Mouse outfit” no less.

Well,
At least start making some US outline stuff–NO REPAINTS!!
And the proper scale, as well.

Phil ,
You can always offload it onto some hick American company----they might be lucky enough to learn how to make models to enjoy . And supply identifiable spares .

Ralph why are you thinking about Cales boobs?

So Phil, what happened? Do you have something new being shipped your way?

Apparently, from the responses there is no way to “unbid” on E-Bay.
Is the assumption accurate: Once you make a bid you are guaranteeing you will pay that bid price if your price survives?
What of withdrawing during the bid process – e.g. X amount of time remaining you pull out?
Are there any conditions that permit an “early” withdrawal?
If so, how is there protection from “fake” bidding to simply increase the price – and any hysteria?

Wendell

PS/:My comment on use:
I sold my 98 point restored 1912 Model T Tour-a-bout by human contact vs. E-bay. I think I got more for it doing so based on the readings I got from the E-bay postings — granted, there were few 1911 - 1913s for comparisons.

Once you confirm your bid, your locked in. The only recourse is to contact the seller and ask them to refuse your bid. they can do that (I used that once when I thought something was what i needed, found out it wasn’t).
The last recourse is not to pay - you’ll take a big hit on your rating with eBay, but life goes on.

What a relief! I managed to swap my purchase for a bag of Jelly Babies and a used envelope! I think I did pretty well out of the deal!

you can cansel your bid you placed if need be for reasons like enter wrong price ect. You have to do that before a set time. I think its like 24 hours before it ends or something like that. I have had to do that once and have had it done on things I have sold.

Mike, this is the second set of postings with anti-American comments from you. WTF?

I started this thread for a laugh. If it's going to escalate into a flame war or an us&them situation I'll pull all of my posts and leave you to it. You want a pissing war? Take it somewhere else

Me ? Anti American .? Don’t be so bloody silly .
Just look back over my 1700 or so posts , then you will find why I am very much not so .
Phil posted a tongue in cheek post . I responded in kind with a reference to the largely American criticism of Bachmann . Ok ?
I love you all , really .

Mike , mildly amused .
