East coast blizzard 2016 - Storm of the century?

I think the hype is a conspiracy by the milk, bread and battery companies.

Inside trading tip !

If you didn’t buy stock in the toilet paper companies this past Monday then you missed out! If you were smart enough to do so then sell the shares this coming Monday at market opening.

EDIT FOR PAGE 2

Eh, I bought a Jeep so I can go where I want, when I want. The only thing I am concerned about is the idiot drivers who should not even be on the roads in the snow. I can’t understand, these folks have lived round here for years, and they don’t know how to drive in the snow??? Heck, I drove to Oswego NY, in the blizzard of 93, in a tractor trailer. I think I just might have a clue how to drive in that stuff.

I don’t know why I would want to stock up on batteries, but I do have enough kerosene for my lamps if the electrons stop flowing to (and from) my house.

Suleski Transportaion will be ready. Plow extra crews are on standby.

Suleski Transportation Plow extra

We have 6 gull wing wedge plows and 2 side throw wedge plows in our roster.

Anyone who needs assistance let us know

We look at snow as fun time!

Scott

Looks familiar. The CVSRy has declared a work holiday tomorrow, stay home and watch it snow and blow. Not supposed to be too bad here, maybe 6 inches, but serious winds. The plow Extra has been readied and crews called for Sunday.

From last winter…

Tanktop weather in 96761. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

In Silverton CO., 4 ft on the ground, and 200 ft of unplowed entrance to get to the 6+foot drifts in front of the Silverton Northern Engine House. We decided that we really didn’t need to get in yet…

Lol Bruce, replace “snowflake” with “raindrop” and you’ve described LA to a Tee.

Yep, San Diego too. Of course these days every time there is any kind of weather that is even the slightest bit out of the ordinary, the media play it up as a Big Freaking Deal and “evidence” that the sky is falling (aka “climate change”.) Makes as much sense as my late grandfather, back in the 1970s, who was convinced that “all this weird weather we’re having” was due to sending astronauts to the moon.

Good luck to all this impacts. About the only thing I can say without getting political.

Oh yes. Hard to believe I’ll be shovelling all that political stuff…

Ray, yup, I heard that from people too. They insisted the weather got weird whenever a rocket was launched.

Some places on the East coast may need this:

Yanno… It’s 72 degrees in the house…

Just saying… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

You’ve never experienced a snowstorm till you’ve driven an 18 wheeler through Virginia during one. 11 hours from Richmond to Wash, DC, which is normally an 1 1/2 hour drive, and never did make in into MD. Had to pull over onto the off-ramp in Occaquan and spend the nite on the side of the road. Not enough fuel left to reach the next truck stop in Jessup, MD. And I’d filled it up in Florence, SC…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Fun stuff!

It’s all David Russell’s fault; he hasn’t said any nice things about the storm gods lately, and they are a bit upset…even keeping Ken up later than usual…!!

Ken, that reminds me of one snow storm in the 80s where it took me over 5 hours to get home from the office…

And it’s a bit deep in town this morning…No train running today.

They ain’t running here either, although looking out at the layout, it looks cleared off from the wind…I can see track and dirt.

Bout the only gonna be runnin is the snowblower.

Were gonna die!!!

Yeah Rooster, that’s a fact of life. Its how you get there that counts. Some feel they should die healthy. Me, I want to slide into it sideways and yell, “WHAT A RIDE!”

Let the dog out this morning …she jumped off the back porch and disappeared !

Got about a foot here so far and more to come. I’m concerned as I’m down to a case and 1/2 of beer!
