East Broad Top Videoson Vimeo

My friend Bill Blomgren has been putting together a series of High Definition videos to promote the East Broad Top Railroad for the FEBT (Friends of the EBT). These videos are short segments of what will eventually be edited together into a made for television documentary on the EBT.

If you are an EBT fan, and like these videos please help promote them by joining Vimeo and then clicking on the Heart icon for each video (I Like). If we can get the scores up over 40, the videos will move up to be featured on Vimeo’s HD Channel and get wider exposure. It’s hoped that wider exposure will cause more people to discover and visit the EBT. We are just doing our small part to try and advertise the railroad as best we can with little or no funds.

Note that these are HI-DEF videos. They require a broad-band connection and a reasonably fast computer. My P4 @ 3GHz at work does great, but my older P3 at home struggles top keep up. If you have the hardware you will be amazed at how great they look, even at full screen size

Thanks in advance for making the effort to join Vimeo and click the heart icon on these videos.

BTW -

The East Broad Top’s annual Fall Spectacular is October 10, 11 and 12. New this year is a Friday schedule that includes a Photographer’s Special coal train that stop in several remote areas of the line for photo run-bys. Also motor car M-3 and several speeders will make a rare run to Colgate Grove. Saturday and Sunday will feature many steam and diesel trains on the line, and speeder runs in the yards and the newly cleared track south of the coaling station. The 1920’s vintage gas-electric M1 will make a run to Colgate Grove both Saturday and Sunday. The famous EBT Shops and Roundhouse will be open for tours Saturday and Sunday, as will the FEBT Museum in Robertsdale.

The Rockhill Trolley Museum next door will be running all operable equipment on the former Shade Gap branch of the EBT.
