Earthquake

Here in Lost Wages I thought I might be having a health issue until I saw the window blinds wiggle. It was a slow rolling back and forth motion for 10 seconds give or take a few.
I’m an old fardt so I don’t need any excitement that the earth gives up.

Cheers TOF

Darryl you got off easy. Here is Palm Desert it lasted about 30 to 45 seconds I would guess. 6.9 is what they are saying. also just had a after shock that lasted about 10 seconds. I am with you don’t need this excitement.

We had just left Chili’s in Clairemont Square. Since we were in the car, and in motion, we never felt it. But I noticed people coming out of buildings and acting strangely. All the way home there were people standing around in front of their houses. Then my brother called and said there had just been an earthquake. I almost felt cheated for missing it!

When we got home we found a few small items on the floor, but nothing broken or damaged. Have only felt a couple tiny aftershocks since then.

Latest reports say it was a 7.2 quake, with serious damage and at least one dead in Mexicali. Power was knocked out in El Centro.

Hey, the Earth shook for me last week too.

The Dirty and Dusty rode through the quake just fine and no rocks fell down. Last week some boxcars blew over in the wind we were having. It gave the maintence crew a break from building their project.

Long slow rolling motion lasted about 30 seconds, I was walking thru the house and didt even realize it until my wife said we were having one.

Today will reveal how much damage was done, sounds like while damage might be bad only 2 deaths have been reported and only one was directly from building damage, the other being a car hitting someone who ran outside during the quake

Somebody ran outside because of an earthquake and got hit by a car. His time was up, that’s all there is to it.

At least he didn’t gewt hit by a train!
I finally remembered to restart the grandfather clock that the quake stopped!
