Large Scale Central

Early start tomorrow - Sir Nigel Gresley coming for breakfast!

I will be there in spirit too, as I will be out exploring the remnants of the Little Old & Slow RR ROW out in Peach Bottom, PA. with a group of friends…

[Mind the smuts in your eyes!]

The train was forty-five minutes late, but on the other paw, if it had been on time it would have been dark - this was taken at 0845hrs this morning, BTW.

Best to all

Nifty!

Wow! Very cool train!

Ken,

Does the LO&S #10 run to a schedule? Is it regularly used? That looks like one to get a ride on. Is it at Strasburg, now?

Rick, It’s in Strasburg. Hollywood and I had a chance to ride the last trip of the day during the Spring ECLST. We decided to take pictures instead. I believe they run it early and late in the season, when they’re not expecting too many riders. Ralph

It’s never run when I’ve been there, but I mainly go to see the museum. Like Ralph says, it’s probably used more when there’s less tourists, like early spring and late fall. No 10 is always at Strasburg…it’s usually parked in front of the engine house, as I see every time we go by there when we go to the AMT…

Man, that has gone on my short list. I’ve been to the museum 2 or 3 times and don’t have mush reason to go back. Okay, now I’ve got to pay more attention.

Moved to it’s own topic to make it easy to find and get it away from Terry’s post. Sorry for hijacking, Terry. You posted a great video, thanks for sharing.

Not bad for live steam.

oh… wait… never mind :stuck_out_tongue:

David - it hauled the train off, along with the dismal thing at the hint end, without even breaking into a chuff…sadly, I was stuck up on the passenger foot-bridge and could not get down, not that it would have made any difference - I was a hundred metres away from the loco on a VERY crowded station full of foamers.

I DID get a movie if the departure - do you want me to put it up on YT?

'snot v good though…

Best

Terry Yes a vid of the start would be good,Sir Nige is an old family friend as my late Father worked for the LNER after WW11 and later in retirement was a friend of Julian Riddick past chairman of the A4 society. Regards David
