Is there any interest in free email accounts within the @largescalecentral.com domain? I can set it up pretty easily.

None of my business, but is your server big enough for all of this?
For some reason when I start browsing LSC, my computer which is on cable modem, starts to slooooooooow down to a complete stop.
Not so with any other web site.
Just wundrin whats going on, is all.

Are you talking about when you first go into the forums? There is a 4-5 second delay there that I’m aware of, and I need to fix. And it generally gets slower over time, since its a function of site traffic and posts in the forums.

I really should get that fixed.

But, yea, the server is just fine.

Spam filter? Virus protection?

I like my isp’s short domain name “wwt.net”. Any chance for a shorter name?

I’ve seen some increasing delays as of late too. When you changed ISP’s there was a huge improvement in speed, but in the last 2 weeks or so it’s start degrading. Still usable, but noticable waits for page loads to start.

I’ll blame it on all the political threads, for which the underlying cause is the economy :smiley:

Hmmm…I havn’t seen a problem…except on my craptop…and then that cleared up once I rebooted my router…

I’m seeing it from both home and work. Both are cable internet, but different cable companies. It still could be something on my side, but I notice it more on LSC than other sites. Just now, to go back to the forum index took 15 seconds to load the page.

I sometimes see some lag time here that I don’t see at other sites I’m visiting at the same sitting.
But it is not slow to the point of annoying, or occurring frequently.

Yup. I know what this is, and I have to figure out the best way to fix it. I guess this should be next, since its getting worse lately. the problem with higher traffic!
