Very Nice Work! May print one or two myself if you don’t mind.
just downloaded the pic. thank you.
if you want some boxes without much work, help yourself: http://kormsen.info/how/
Nicely done. I will print a few for blasting rock on my slowly advancing main line. Thanks.
Tom
what size is the original box? Do you have the original box, if so take photos of all sides, and then paste them into the cutout plan to have the original tone and texture to the printout, Just a idea.
Sweet! Thanks!

Dave Unfortunately I do not have the original box. It was encrusted with exuding nitroglycerine and had to be destroyed many years ago...
The size of the original box is a pretty standard size. The size would be almost identical to a wood crate used for another purpose.
I have a new cardboard box that was used for blasting caps. I store some of my old engineering books in it. If anyone wants some pictures of a modern blasting cap box I could take some.
If this scales out too small for my 1:20 stuff do you figure I could just blow it up?

After a little digging, on eBay of all places, I found several different sizes of Dynamite boxes. One from American Cyanimid, dimensions listed as 17.75" x 12.50" x 7.25"
and another by Hercules dimensions of 13.50" x 9.50" x 7.50" Listing for reference (additional pics) http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANTIQUE-HERCLUES-POWDER-CO-DYNAMITE-BOX-GREAT-GRAPHICS-NR-/251208848701?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7d36d53d

There were others as well. I did a Google search for ‘Antique Dynamite Boxes’ and came up with a whole bunch. I got the impression that the 1 1/4 x 8 shown on the end of Boomer’s box in the pic above is the diameter by the length of the ‘stick’ of dyanmite. Interesting subject to research.
Doing some research to find the weight of ‘dynamite’, I ran across this page that defacto defines the sizes of explosive boxes. Finding a couple of the old boxes to replicate the makers markings would also be cool.

Tom, it’s good to see you posting here again; it’s been awhile! I’ve missed that - dare I say it? - cute - avatar of yours. Who wouldn’t love a kid who looked like that?
What size would the box be in 1/20 scale?
Boomer,
Contact me off list so you can email me copies of the PDF files and I will post them on my web space so they can be posted here.
