I’ve used that over my seams on the camper. Right over the Durabound sealant. I called the Customer Service hot line and was told that clean was to wash and rinse and make sure no movable dirt or mildew and wiped down with rubbing alcohol. Stains can be easily covered. Did this last year (Summer 2012) and have had no problems with the seams becoming uncovered or the tape lifting after 10,000 plus miles.
I covered every seam, plus any puddle of Durabond flowing/ self leveling caulking.
I’m very pleased with the results.
This is strong rubber tape with an unbelievable adhesive for sticking to itself.
