Large Scale Central

DSP&PRR #4

Hi, My new loco arrived yesterday, and as the weather was good it was rushed outside for some photos - here are some of the results -

The scratch built small trestle is very useful for photos, the stock behing the Mason Bogie which is the eectric version is also scratch built. Enjoy!

Beautiful loco. I’d be rushing to take photos too.
Ralph

Love the trestle, too!

Beautiful!

Beautiful!
Masons have always been a favorite of mine.

That’s one pretty loco - and the trestle ain’t bad either !

Nice. Sharp colors

Hi, Thank you for the kind comments - they are appreciated. Here is another photo - taken to be like the photo of #10 ‘Granite’ at Deansbury Bridge, which this one is very like. But first I had to remove a plant which was getting very much above itself! That freed the view and some trial shots gave me the idea - enjoy.

I have done a small amount of extra painting on the loco now and adjusted the valve gear so the curved link now waggles ‘back and forth’ when the loco is running. Yours Peter.

That’s a nice looking bridge Pete, did you build it?

Hi Chuck,
No not this one - it was built for me by Frank Neher in Germany, he made some for his own layout, and then one for me.

I have however made the other two bridges, one ages ago out of wood that is a pony truss, and recently a Howe Truss that is made from welding rods and PVC solid foam, with some hidden steel square tube to give it some strength.

All 3 use Hillman bridge clamps, and I am very pleased with them.

Nice loco. Who makes that one?

I bet it’s cleaner than you’re car!
Great looking loco!
Sean

Hi Shawn,

Its made by Accucraft, and is the electric version - they made it (all are sold out, but some are on Evil Bay) in two color schemes the other is a dark brown and is lettered for #6 ‘Ten mile’

There are also live steam versions of it in both colort schemes.
