I have always wanted to get the San Juan cars from Accucraft but the cost always kept me from buying them. Plus the detail I though could be better. I have been working with a friend to get a few cars done that use the AMS coach or Combine as a frame and roof. The first car is Baggage 123. It will come in around 100.00 with decals.

What material are they made of?

All the walls are laser cut plywood.

I was at Doug Bronson’s last night and saw the prototype of baggage 123 and it is very nicely engineered as all of Doug’s kits are.
The AMS frame and roof fits perfectly and will be a easy kit to build. The next kit will be of the single door baggage and Doug will get some of these cutout this weekend and when I get one, I’ll take pics of it as I build it.

BTW if you never done a kit before, Doug’s kits look intimidating at first but his instruction are very well thought out and is easy enough for about anybody to build.
