You know, I’ve always thought about retiring (like that’s ever going to happen, yeah right) and taking a dream vacation on the Trans-Canadian railroad, or the railroad that goes all the way across Russia to China, or the Orient Express (dressed up as Hercule Poirot naturally), or some of those Australian railroads, but now I really think I’d like to travel around and see some of the many great railroads of the people here on LSC, meeting anyone who would have me, and maybe seeing the club layouts our families belong to. Just a random realization this morning.
John your always welcome at my place. You can sit in a lawn chair and watch me build mine. I will supply your favorite beverage and a smoked brisket.
That would be a fun vacation. Take your favorite loco and take pictures of it on every layout you visit. Hey here is an idea, back in the day RVers used to have stickers of all the places they have been. You could make a boxcar that has the herald or logo over every road visited on it.
That definitely would be a great trip - see some of the great layouts we see pictures of on here.
